Thomas Alva Edison (1847 - 1931)

He was the person who brought the most creative inspiration in the history of the modern world. His whole life was associated with continuous creativity.

1.500 is the number of his patent.

1.093 patents are patented in the United States along with many patents in the UK, France, and Germany.

February 11th – Edison’s birth date has been chosen by the US Congress as National Inventor’s Day since 1983.
He is also a leading entrepreneur, a founder, and a successful builder of many companies, the most famous of which is a General Electric Company since 1890 and is still the leading Group in the United States, developing in many technology fields.

Naming the school EDISON expresses the founders’ dream and goals of an educational system that will:

Xin chào mừng các vị khách quý, các thầy cô giáo và cán bộ, nhân viên của Edison Schools, xin chào mừng các quý vị phụ huynh và quan trọng hơn hết, nhiệt liệt chào mừng hơn 2.000 các con học sinh Eddie – Edda thân yêu trên toàn Hệ thống Edison Schools.

Hôm nay – ngày Khai giảng năm học mới – là một dịp thật đặc biệt để tôi có cơ hội gửi đến các em học sinh lời chào mừng tình cảm nhất từ trái tim mình. Tôi cũng xin gửi lời cảm ơn sâu sắc đến các thầy cô giáo, các bậc phụ huynh và toàn thể cộng đồng trường học đã đến dự và đồng hành cùng chúng tôi trong hành trình giáo dục ý nghĩa này.

Lễ Khai giảng chính là giây phút để chúng ta cùng khởi động các kế hoạch với tằm nhìn và các mục tiêu cho hành trình phía trước.

Vậy tầm nhìn và động lực mới cho hành trình sắp tới của chúng ta sẽ là gì? Tôi và toàn thể Hội đồng trường, Ban Giám hiệu và các thầy cô giáo đã suy ngẫm thật nhiều khi quyết định chủ đề năm học mới, cũng là tầm nhìn của chúng tôi cho hành trình phía trước.

Với hành trang chúng ta đã cùng nhau gây dựng và bồi đắp suốt 5 năm qua, với bầu nhiệt huyết, khát vọng và cảm hứng cho tương lai, chúng tôi tin tưởng mạnh mẽ rằng đã đến lúc cộng đồng Edison sẵn sàng để cùng nhau tạo nên định nghĩa mới về sự dẫn đầu – Redefine the best and lead the way!

Dù chúng ta đang sống trong thế giới VUCA với muôn vàn biến động và bất định, những giá trị của tỉnh thần giáo dục khai phóng – nhân văn bền vững được các thầy cô và các œonhình thành qua từng bài học, từng hoạt động, từng dự án, từng trải nghiệm… sẽ là những giá trị theo các con mãi về sau này, dù ở bất cứ nơi đâu. Những giá trị hình thành nên nhân cách và sự trưởng thành của các con sẽ không được đo đếm bằng những cách đánh giá định lượng như điểm số hay thành tích nhưng lại quyết định việc các con sẽ trở thành người thế nào, có hạnh phúc và mang lại hạnh phúc cho người khác hay không và sẽ đóng góp gì cho xã hội.

Xin cảm ơn toàn thể các vị khách quý, các thầy giáo, cô giáo, cúc bậc phụ huynh và các cơn học sinh. Chính mỗi chúng ta đều đang là một thành tố tích cực để cùng chung tay đóng góp cho Cộng đồng giáo dục hạnh phúc tại Edison.

Thứ nhất: Trường học đổi mới sáng tạo toàn quốc

Đúng như tôn chỉ của nhà sáng chế Edison mà trường vinh dự mang tên, Edison Schools với triết lý INNOVATION FOR LIFE – SÁNG TẠO VÌ CUỘC SỐNG phải là nơi xứng đáng với danh hiệu là 1 trong 3 Ngôi trường tiên phong được vinh danh là Trường học đổi mới sáng tạo toàn quốc tại Diễn đàn Giáo viên Sáng tạo do Microsoft và Bộ Giáo dục đồng tổ chức trong năm học 2022-2023.

Edison Schools quyết tâm kiên định trên con đường Đổi mới – Sáng tạo trong mọi khía cạnh của Giáo dục. Ở Trường học, chúng tôi luôn cập nhật và đổi mới các chương trình giáo dục hằng năm, đặc biệt tập trung vào việc tái cấu trúc các chương trình và hoạt động của Edison, bổ sung, cập nhật các hướng đi mới trong giáo dục để đáp ứng nhu cầu mới của học sinh và xã hội. Đặc biệt, các Eddie, Edda sẽ thấy mình đóng vai trò khởi xướng, dẫn dắt nhiều chương trình và hoạt động của trường. Chính các con sẽ điều hành các Câu lạc bộ, Dự án, các Hội học sinh, Ban Quốc tế, Ban Truyền thông, Cộng đồng Tranh biện,… với sự hỗ trợ tận tình từ các thầy cô.

Thứ hai: Ngôi trường của Human Innovation Technology – Công nghệ Nhân bản – vì hạnh phúc của con người

Trong một thế giới nơi công nghệ và AI lên ngôi mạnh mẽ, với những sức mạnh có thể làm thay đổi cả lịch sử, những Eddie & Edda tương lai phải vừa được cập nhật tối đa về các công nghệ tiên tiến nhất nhưng cũng phải thấu suốt triết lý Ngôi trường của Human Innovation Technology – Công nghệ Nhân bản – vì hạnh phúc của con người: Tiếp tục phát triển mạnh mẽ các chương trình và ứng dụng CNTT, AI, STEAM và Robotics trên tất cả các mặt của trường, từ quản lý nhà trường đến dạy và học, các đội tuyển thi đấu trong nước và quốc tế, định hướng nghề nghiệp cho học sinh, giữ vững vai trò của một ngôi trường dẫn đầu về STEAM trong Cộng đồng các trường hàng đầu về STEAM của toàn cầu. Edison đã cùng với 11 trường học tiêu biểu của Việt Nam được công nhận là “Trường học điển hình toàn cầu của Microsoft” cùng hơn 400 tổ chức giáo dục trên toàn cầu vì các thành tựu. chuyển đổi số và ứng dụng xuất sắc CNTT để nâng cao kết quả học tập và giảng dạy .

Thứ ba: Ngôi trường Hội nhập Quốc tế

Trong thế giới phẳng của tương lai, Edison sẽ đẩy mạnh hơn nữa các chương trình trở thành Ngôi trường Hội nhập Quốc tế: Mở rộng và đẩy mạnh các xu hướng học tập và cạnh tranh toàn cầu; thành lập và cử một số đội tuyển tham dự các cuộc thi mang tính quốc tế trong các lĩnh vực kiến thức chung bằng Tiếng Anh, Toán, Khoa học, CNTT, Tranh biện… Đặc biệt, Edison sẽ bắt đầu triển khai Chương trình THPT Song bằng Úc kể từ năm học 2023-2024 này, mỡ ra nhiều cơ hội du học các trường Đại học top đầu trên thế giới và nhiều chương trình trao đổi toàn cầu cho học sinh.
